AMRO26 on air #3

In this episode, we welcome the curators of the exhibition From the Ashes of the Burnout Machines: Lara Mejač, Arianna Forte, Noemi Garay Murcia, Diane Pricop and Davide Bevilacqua.

Together, they discuss the ideas and research behind the exhibition, which approaches burnout not only as an individual condition, but as a broader social, ecological, and technological climate shaped by extractive forms of digitalization. The conversation reflects on exhaustion, hyperconnectivity, productivity pressure, and the ways digital systems increasingly influence bodies, environments, and everyday life.

The episode offers insights into the curatorial process and explores how artistic practices can create space for collective reflection and alternative imaginaries. How can art respond to conditions of constant acceleration? What forms of resistance or care become possible through collaborative and critical practices? And how can exhibitions open discussions around technology beyond narratives of efficiency and innovation?

Through the perspectives of the curators, the conversation highlights the exhibition as a space for dialogue, experimentation, and shared experience within AMRO26 and this year’s festival theme „Becoming Unreadable“.
