You’ll be hearing excerpts from the recently released Blue Note Records Album from Charles Lloyd and the Marvels featuring Lucinda Williams - titled “Vanished Gardens”. The 85 year old jazz master Charles Lloyd - on tenor sax and flute - is accompanied by The Marvels made up of Lloyd’s longtime bassist Reuben Rogers and drummer Eric Harland as well as the guitar virtuoso Bill Frisell and Greg Leisz on pedal steel guitar. Lucinda Williams, the grande dame of Americana, who is regularly accompanied by Frisell and Leisz lends her smoky voice to 5 of the 10 tracks.

This show features the new LP from the guitar virtuoso Ry Cooder. The 71 year old Cooder, whose career has spanned over half a century, just released his 17th solo album. The new LP, aptly titled, “The Prodigal Son” includes 8 covers and 3 originals borrowing heavily from black and white gospel artists. Plus eine kleine Hörprobe from Radio FRO's own Veronika Moser aka Frau Tomani.
In March Jack White released his third solo album “Boarding House Reach”. I’ll be playing excerpts from this very eclectic LP. The show starts off with a Jack White retrospective beginning with The White Stripes, continuing with his successful collaborations such as The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather, and then snippets from his solo career.
March 8th was International Women's Day so on this March edition of Potluck I‘ll be featuring the latest LP, Binary, from the American feminist-activist Ani DiFranco. You’ll be able to hear the album in its entirety and without interruption.
In this edition of Potluck you’ll be hearing songs from Bands that I plan to see this upcoming spring and summer in Posthof.

The end of the year is fast approaching - so it’s time to share with you my pick for the best Album of the year. I’ll be starting the hour with a couple of tracks from the runner-up and then continue the show with the complete LP of my favorite album from 2017. And I’ll be ending the show (and the year) with an “Auld Lang Syne” from Scotland’s premier singer-songwriter Dougie MacLean.
New Music from Robert Plant, St. Vincent and Courtney Barnett and Kurt Vile. A short tribute to Fats Domino (26.2.1928-24.19.2017) and a concert recommendation.
In August I spent 12 days and nights at the Edinburgh Festival. So in this edition of Potluck, I’ll be bringing you examples of some the music highlights that I experienced at the festival. After that it’s new releases from The War on Drugs, The National and The Waterboys.
