Christian Koch  Conny Espig

Biography:

Already as a student assistant in the Centre of Computing of the Ilmenau Technical University, Conny Espig experienced maintenance and security of computer networks. After just finishing his Diploma in Computer Science, he is now dealing with information technology in his own little enterprise: systems design, development, programming and consulting. He is also trying hard to teach the advantages of the Unix operating system to people who care. Now and then he does technical proofreading and translating for the German translations of O'Reilly computer books to make them at least as good as their originals.

Christian Koch has a Diploma in Computer Science at the Ilmenau Technical University as well. During his studies, he was working as a member of radio hsf the oldest students radio station in Germany. As a tutor for digital audio production at the MDR (the mid-german radio broadcasting association) he found an interesting connection between broadcasting and computers. Additionally, he deals with most different kinds of topics in computing - recently programming Macintosh drivers for FireWire devices and co-authoring the »Midas Macintosh Bibel«. When not working, he still spends time at the students radio - mostly with training people and (surprise) computer problems.

Since the beginning of 2001 Conny and Christian run a little enterprise together.
